Sustainability at Stitch Ambition

It’s really important to me that I help the planet in any way that I can, and this includes minimising my businesses effect on the planet. Here’s a look at how Stitch Ambition is helping the planet. 

FSC Certified Embroidery Hoops

From when I created my first embroidery hoop in 2018, I’ve always used Elbesee hoops, and I’m convinced that I will carry on until the day I die! Not only are they brilliant quality, but they are also FSC certified. This means that they are made with materials from well-managed forests and/or recycled sources. 

Environmentally Friendly Packaging

Every hoop comes gift wrapped lovingly in pink tissue paper, which is vegan, eco friendly and recyclable. Please be sure to remove the sticker (which is also recyclable) when putting into your household recycling bin! 

Eco-Friendly Business Cards

My business cards and thank you cards are also FSC certified, and they are also Rainforest Alliance Certified! They’re also printed by a company that is working to become carbon neutral.

Embroidery Thread 

Embroidery thread is vital for my business, and I only ever use the best quality. All of my designs and products are created using DMC embroidery thread - a world renowned embroidery specialist. All of the thread is 100% cotton, and the dyes used in these threads are Oeko-Tex® certified - an internationally recognized textile standard ensuring that they are environment–friendly. 

Sustainable Banking 

Banking isn’t the first thing you think of when you think of business sustainability, but I thought it was worth a mention. I bank with a business that is working to become carbon neutral, offsetting their carbon emissions. My bank card is even made from recycled plastic! 

Going Forward

I'm continuously looking at how I can help the environment in my business and limit my impact on the planet, and I’m currently looking at even more ways that I can help the environment.
